SAM FINE


make up artist Sam Fine was born on the 12th November 1969 in Illinois, just north of Chicago.  He was adopted when he was just 6th months old by the Denton family and was brought up known as Samual Denton but later on took his professional name as Sam Fine from his birth certificate. Sam being the only boy of 4 children was intrigued by the sight of his mother and sisters applying their make up and doing their hait " i used to pay my sisters $2 to let me style their hair".
     Always artisticly inclined, Fine turned to drawing as his main form of solitary amusement and this skill attracted attension early on, also awarding him a summer scolarship years later for the school of the art institute in chicago where he studied to become a fashion illustrator. Having a best friend who was a make up artist fine was easily drawn and began working along side professional make up artists as an assistant at fashion shows and photo shoots, where he met the famous model naomi campbell who then asked him to go and work along side her on peoples magazine. After this Fines career began to flurish and he worked with more and more african/american models and over the next few years his work was seen on the cover of magazines and fashion shows.
